Cardiology

Cardiologists on MARMC’s Medical Staff have been continuously involved in national as well as international landmark studies conducted to compare various medications in the effectiveness of treatment on cardiac patients. In addition, the medical center is periodically involved in Health Care Quality Improvement Projects, statewide cardiology studies sponsored by the Missouri Foundation for Medical Quality.

Mammography Quality Standards Act and Program

Our mammography program meets all of the guidelines set by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA.) More than 9,000 FDA-certified facilities nationwide work to uphold the goal of the Mammography Quality Standards Act of 1992 as amended in 1998: to ensure the safety and reliability of mammography and help detect breast cancer in its earliest, most treatable stages. ACR Accreditation

Laboratory Accreditation

Congress passed the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) in 1988 establishing quality standards for all laboratory testing to ensure the accuracy, reliability and timeliness of patient test results regardless of where the test was performed. Our lab is CLIA licensed. Mineral Area Regional Medical Center Earns An Excellence Through Insight Award for Overall Physician Satisfaction

Farmington, MO. April 10, 2011. Mineral Area Regional Medical Center (MARMC) has been named a 2011 Excellence through lnsight award recipient in the category of “Overall Physician Satisfaction” by HealthStream Research, the research business group of HealthStream, Inc. (NASDAQ: HSTM). A formal presentation of the award will be made during HealthStream’s Client Summit on May 5, 2011, in Nashville, Tennessee. Specifically, the hospital is being honored for “Most Improved Overall Physician Satisfaction” in the medium hospital category.

To qualify for an award, a hospital must have been a medical staff satisfaction client of HealthStream Research in 2010, scored at least in the 75^th percentile or higher, and conducted a minimum of 50 physician surveys. MARMC was chosen for showing the most improvement in medical staff satisfaction from among HealthStream Research’s clients, as well as exceeding industry standards.
